Ola Electric has announced that it would reward customers who can ride their Ola S1 Pro scooter for 200km or more on a single charge. The Bengaluru-based company will be sending out a Gerua coloured Ola S1 Pro for free to ten customers who complete the task. Ola’s reward, the limited-edition orange-hued Gerua Ola S1 Pro, was introduced back in March for a limited run on the occasion of Holi.

Ola Electric recently opened up bookings for the Ola S1 Pro on May 21st and also extended early access for existing buyers. The company has bumped the price of the Ola S1 Pro premium electric scooter by Rs 10,000 bringing the sticker price up to Rs 1,39,000. 

Ola Electric to give away free Ola S1 Pros

Ola Electric is giving away Ola S1 Pro electric scooters finished in the shade of Gerua for free to customers. To win a free Ola S1 Pro, one would have to ride their Ola S1 Pro e-scooter for a distance of 200km or more on a single charge. This comes after a rider managed to cover a distance of 202km and inched out efficiency by riding it at an average speed of 48kmph. Another rider too achieved a similar feat.

CEO Bhavish Aggarwal announced a giveaway of ten of the premium electric scooter units on Twitter. He also mentioned that the two scooters that managed to travel for 200+km were on MoveOS 2 and MoveOS 1.0.16 versions. He highlighted the fact that any existing customer on any version of the platform can achieve the range and get a chance to win a free scooter. The winners will be invited to the Ola Futurefactory in June for delivery of their new electric scooters. 

At the time of reporting, according to latest tweets from Aggarwal, close to 100 customers had managed to cross the 200km target. A Twitter user, Purvesh Prabhu, shared an image in his tweet which shows the 266km range that was extracted from the e-scooter. CEO Aggarwal has hyped his followers further by urging customers to aim for the 300km mark, and added that the scooters would be given away to users with verified range.
